Degree Jersey Program Takes Off

Quicker than a Brian Rafalski slap shot, youth hockey associations have snatched up every available jersey as part of USA Hockey- Degree Youth Hockey Jersey Program.

Within 42 minutes, the entire stock of 90,000 jerseys Degree provided for Mite, Squirt and Peewee house/recreational league teams were gone.

“This is a great start with our newest sponsor Unilever USA as they help to reduce costs for our young players and their families,” said Lee Meyer, senior director of marketing for USA Hockey.

Each jersey will include the USA Hockey and Degree or Degree® Girl logos, and will allow space for teams to add their own numbers and team logos. Jerseys are available in six colors (black, gold, white, Kelly, red and royal), and come in sets of 17.

All jersey packages will include a mixture of sizes depending on the age group. USA Hockey is currently in the process of verifying the orders, and plans to ship all the jerseys in September.

The USA Hockey – Degree Youth Hockey Jersey Program, which is patterned after a similarly successful partnership with US Youth Soccer, is part of a larger Unilever mission to provide kid-friendly product solutions that help parents and kids remain cool, calm and confident throughout the day – especially during those sweat-inducing moments.
